Practitioner Kristen’s Below Elbow Patient Leah

" One of our very own at AlliedOP, Orthotic Fitter Damiano first met Leah at the store she was working at.

Damiano was in line checking out and noticed Leah running the register with one hand. Impressed with her motor skills, Damiano asked Leah if she has ever been fitted for a hand prosthesis.

After 23 years of adapting to life with one hand, Leah was interested in taking this journey with us at AlliedOP. Leah currently see’s practitioner Kristen at our Fair Lawn, NJ office.

After being fitted for an Össur I-Limb Quantum hand this past year, Leah has been learning how to use it with her everyday skills. Practitioner Kristen, Leah, and Leah’s Occupational Therapist traveled to Ohio to complete a training course at the Össur Academy where Leah learned to fine tune her device according to her specific needs.

We are so honored to be a part of Leah’s journey and see her progress with her new device."
