Eqwal’s development in Germany continues with the integration of ORTHOPÄDIE + VITAL ZENTRUM PIRO GmbH into its Patient Care division.

Based in Villingen-Schwenningen, with an additional branch in Donaueschingen, ORTHOPÄDIE + VITAL ZENTRUM PIRO GmbH operates in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany.

Led by Markus Piro, the company employs 45 people and provides a broad range of orthopaedic and medical solutions, including prosthetics, medical supplies, orthopaedic footwear and orthotics. A distinctive feature of PIRO’s approach is that its own physiotherapists are employed. This multidisciplinary care model, brings together orthoprosthetists and physiotherapists to provide patients with comprehensive support throughout their care journey.

Markus Piro remains Managing Director of ORTHOPÄDIE + VITAL ZENTRUM PIRO GmbH and will continue to lead the company and its teams as part of Eqwal. The integration will be overseen by Christian Walgenbach, Managing Director Patient Care in Germany.

This acquisition further strengthens Eqwal’s presence in Germany and supports its strategy to build a connected and high-performing clinical network across the country.
